It is with heavy hearts we sadly announce the passing of our beloved Robert Kerswill (July 28, 1958 – November 3, 2013). He battled cancer for the past year with incredible strength and courage. He is survived by his loving wife Elaine Kerswill of 29 years; parents, Norman and Faith Kerswill; sisters Janice (Archie Sargent) and Carolyn (Dean Dobson), brother-in-law, Rick Berndt , sister-in-law, Joanne Whalen and nieces and nephews, Tyler (Jessica) and Ian Whalen, Wesley Berndt, Ryan McLean, Hollie and Jackie Sargent and Jake, Megan and Cole Dobson. Rob was a great guy and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a valued employee of Giles Chevrolet. He had a passion for big boy’s toys including dirt bikes and snowmobiles and was a huge Nascar fan. He had a huge heart and always took the time to chat and made you feel special. Family and friends are invited to the O’Neill Funeral Home (6324 Main St., Stouffville) on Thursday, November 7th from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am at Stouffville United Church, 34 Church Street, Stouffville, on Friday, November 8th, followed by the Internment at Melville Cemetery, Kennedy Road, south of Stouffville Road. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Princess Margaret Hospital.
