<div itemprop="description">On December 27, 2016, in the Houses of Providence, Toronto, Ontario, our Mother – Rilla ‘Helen’ Keddy (nee McKendrick), age 78, won her battle for peace.<br>Helen was born, raised, married, and lived her life in Toronto, Ontario. <br>Helen was a long time resident of the Houses of Providence following paralysis at age 49.<br>Helen’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by her family:<br>Husband: Timothy William<br>Sons: Tim (Joanne), Tom (Cathy), Gary, John (Sarah), <br>Daughters: Mary, Kathy, Debbie (Ted)<br>Grandchildren: Timothy (Karen), Anne-Marie (Paul), Gary (Sally), Scot; Michael (Sarah), Tristan; Cody, Cooper, Kyler; Chris, Markie, Shannan; Mackenzie; Alexandria; <br>Great- Grandchildren: Carrie, Emma, Keddy, Sarah, and Eloise.<br>Extended family: Sandra and Roland, Grammy-Aunt Helen to Tammy (Nick), Jason (Lucy), Colin; and Rebecca, Kyle and Hailley.<br><br>Helen is preceded in death by her Husband Tim, Son Gary, and Brother Albert Cecil ‘Terry’ Sibley.<br>Helen never stopped giving of herself and raising her large and growing family. Every summer holiday was spent camping or trailering in the outdoors with family and many friends. Every Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Helen would spend endless hours making dinners for all and baking many pies. Helen’s children have very fond memories of these holidays and even though her livelihood was limited for the last third of her life, Helen remained the main ingredient in family holidays. Helen was always thrilled by, and proud of, each and every one of her children, grand-children, great-grandchildren. Helen will be remembered always.<br>All the family wish to thank Cathy Keddy for her valued love, friendship, and closeness throughout Helen’s life.<br>We also wish to thank all the valued friendships offered by caregivers at the Houses of Providence throughout many years in residence.<br></div>
